My latest full length play, "The Killing Jar," is heading to Butterfield 8 Theater Company's New Works Series in July!
The New Works Series will feature five new plays by local, Bay Area playwrights and will run all summer.
"The Killing Jar," directed by John Butterfield, will go up before audiences July 5th and 6th at 8pm, and July 7th at 3pm.
Cast: Bailie Simpson, Eddie Peabody, Meggy Hai Trang, Chris Gaoiran, and Charles Guitron.
Ava, a painter and curator, arrives in the Philippines to convince artist Jefford Huso to exhibit at the 1964 New York World's Fair. A great admirer of his work, she is also hoping for an apprenticeship during her time at his studio outside Manila. But her desire for a mentor, his addiction to alcohol and women jeopardize the show and Ava's career, which hinges on this rare opportunity in a male dominated field.
