12 nights of 28 new play readings by 30 local playwrights will take place November 5 through November 22nd at th Exit Theatre in San Francisco.
I was commissioned to write a short play about Naiads, along with seven other writers, each tackling a different nymph, for the first night of the festival called, Nymphs, Nymphs, Nymphs.
For a year, I've been researching and writing Death Of A River In 3/4 Time, a play that takes a look at responsibility for the destruction of our rivers. Can we put the blame onto the CEO of the utility company or will the finger point right back at ourselves?
Will the naiad of the Catawba-Wateree river convince a powerful corporate head to make changes or will she, along with her river, perish?
You can catch Death Of A River In 3/4 Time, Wednesday, Nov. 5, 8pm at Exit Theatre. Tickets are $10 at the door.
